Caleb Jacobs is a screen composer, music producer, songwriter and sound designer.

Since graduating from AFTRS, he's been crafting textured, emotionally rich scores that blur the line between the organic and the synthetic — weaving synths, found sounds and traditional instruments into something that feels both intimate and unexpected.

With deep roots in the Sydney music scene, Caleb cut his teeth as a guitarist, leaning into distorted amps in search of new sounds — an energy that still drives his work today. From DIY recordings as Plum to the slick, late-night electronica of Cale, he has shared airwaves and stages with some of Australia's most respected artists. Earning praise from Rüfüs Du Sol and features from Rolling Stone, Triple J, MTV and Rage, his work has led to collaborations with Babitha, Isabella Manfredi (The Preatures), Moody Beach and Dogworld.

His screen credits include The Longest Weekend (SFF 2022), Plan B (SXSW 2021), The Coatmaker (Screamfest 2018), For the Love of Pets (2022), The Summit (2023) and the theme for Made in Bondi (2024). In 2026, he scored a string of short films making waves on the festival circuit — including I'm Still Here (Tropfest Finalist), Raft Race (SFF), Baby Teeth (St Kilda, Monsterfest, Fantastic) and Follow (Fantastic).

On the commercial side, Caleb composed the sonic branding for Mitsubishi Electric's 'A Life More Electric' campaign in 2023, and has since worked with Land Rover, Xero, Adidas, Lorna Jane, Employment Hero and Australian Ethical.

Away from the screen, Caleb continues to develop his own voice as an artist. In late 2025, he released Aunties — built from a field recording in Penang and centred on nylon-string guitar, live strings, drums and electronic production, it explores human connection and community in a fast-moving world.

Caleb is an AACTA-accredited composer, a 2025 APRA Professional Development Awards finalist, and a member of the Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC).
